Wedding Fitness

When I got engaged, I knew that I needed to get in shape before walking down the aisle. Afterall, all eyes are on the bride on her wedding day. I wanted to make sure that I looked great, and that my husband-to-be wouldn't be able to take his eyes off me!

A wedding is expensive, with the dress and photographer making up a large percentage of the wedding budget. These two costs alone can run upwards of $4000 to $10 000, and I wanted to be sure that my money wasn't wasted on a dress that didn't fit and pictures I hated, because I looked fat!

My wedding was in July, so I started my weight loss regime in January. This gave me several months to get into "wedding day shape". Two months into my diet, I bought my dress. It was the first dress I tried on, and it was beautiful! When it came time to order the size my face got hot and I began to worry. Do I order the size I am measuring at now, or do I order it smaller and hope I fit into it? Logic dictates that you order the size you are at the time and just get it altered if you lose the weight. BUT, I ordered the dress two sizes smaller than I was. Not the smartest idea, I know! But, it was going to be my motivation.

I know what it is like to not fit into something, and I didn't want that to happen to me on my wedding day, so I got active- Fast! I did fit into my dress, but I had many ideas ready to put into place, just incase it didn't fit. The fact that it did fit, and that I liked how I looked that day, made my wedding day that much more special.

I still look at my expensive wedding photos, and know that the smile on my face is real. I was happy, in love, and confident that I looked great! Having a Wedding Fitness plan is important. Make looking your best on your wedding day, and feeling your best your goal- start now! Check out the "Be a Hot Bride" post for some wedding day diet and fitness products, diets and tips.
